So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!" 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Enjoin them their understandings to this? or are they a people conumacious? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or have they the treasures of your Lord with them? Or have they been set in absolute authority? 37 Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 Be patient, then, (O Prophet), until the judgement of your Lord comes. For surely you are before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise, 48 And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars. 49
