Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
