Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
