Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Say (unto them): Except (your fill)! Lo! I am with you among the expectant. 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth? No; the truth is that they lack sure faith. 36 Or are thy Lord's treasuries in their keeping? Or are they the registrars? 37 Or do they have any stairs, climbing upon which they eavesdrop? So their eavesdropper should bring some clear proof! 38 What! The daughters for Him, and the sons for you? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Do they want to hatch some plot? Those who deny the truth will be the victims of the plot. 42 Or have they a god other than God? Exalted be God over what they ascribe as partners [to Him]! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
