Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say, "Travel through the land and see how terrible was the end of the criminal ones". 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Verily, your Lord will decide between them (various sects) by His Judgement. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 78 So put your trust in Allah for you are on the manifest truth. 79 You do not make the dead hear, nor do you make the deaf hear you call when they turn about, retreating. 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none hear save these who believe in Our signs and who have submitted themselves. 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82
