Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif-Lam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 Those are the signs of the Wise Book 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 They are on guidance from their Lord, and will prosper. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in pride as if he heard them not, as if there were a deafness in his ears. So give him tidings of a painful doom. 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 Therein they will be abiders: a true promise of Allah. And He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
