The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
