Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 They ask, "When the Day of Judgment will come, if it is true at all?" 71 Say, “It could be that a part of what you are impatient for is (already) after you.” 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 There is nothing of the hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not recorded in the luminous Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord judges between them with His command; and He is the Almighty, the All Knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
