The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
