3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
