Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 What, would they then say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
