Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
