Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
