Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night as it envelops; 1 And the day when it shines in brightness, 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), 5 And believes in the best [reward], 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 We shall surely ease him to the Hardship; 10 And his substance will avail him not when he perisheth. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
