Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
