Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 and couches raised high, 13 And cups put in place 14 and cushions arrayed 15 and outspread carpets. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 how the heavens are raised up high, 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
