O you who have believed, obey Allah and His Messenger and do not turn from him while you hear [his order]. 20 Do not be like those who say, "We hear," but pay no heed to what they hear -- 21 ۞ Surely the vilest of animals, in Allah's sight, are the deaf, the dumb, who do not understand. 22 And had Allah known in them any good He would surely have made them hearken; and even if He made them hear, they would surely turn away as backsliders. 23 O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he (SAW) calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered. 24 And fear the turmoil which will certainly not fall only upon a few selected unjust people among you; and know that Allah’s punishment is severe. 25 Remember when you were few in number and were accounted weak in the land, ever fearing the onslaught of your enemies, but He provided you with shelter, and supported you with His help and provided you with good things, so that you might be grateful. 26 O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence]. 27 And know that your wealth and your children are a test, and that with Allah is an immense reward. 28
