Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 These are verses of the Wise Book. 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 Those who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and they are certain of the hereafter. 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise 8 In which they will abide; it is a true promise of Allah; and only He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He created the skies without a support, as you can see, and placed stabilisers in the earth that you may dwell at ease as it revolves; and dispersed on it all varieties of creatures, and He sent down water from the skies and grew all kinds of splendid things upon it. 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
