The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
