The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
