The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
