The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
