Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
