And the believer said, “O my people! Follow me, I shall show you the way of righteousness.” 38 My people, this worldly life is only the means (to an end), but the life hereafter will be the everlasting abode. 39 Whoever does evil will be requited in accordance with it; but whoever does right, whether man or woman, and is a believer, will enter Paradise, where they will have provision in abundance. 40 ۞ O my people, what is wrong with me that I am calling you to preservation, while you invite me to the Fire! 41 Ye call me to disbelieve in Allah and ascribe unto Him as partners that whereof I have no knowledge, while I call you unto the Mighty, the Forgiver. 42 Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] supplication in this world or in the Hereafter; and indeed, our return is to Allah, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire. 43 "Soon will ye remember what I say to you (now), My (own) affair I commit to Allah: for Allah (ever) watches over His Servants." 44 So Allah protected him from the evil (consequences) of what they planned, and the most evil punishment overtook Firon's people: 45 They are exposed to the Fire every morning and evening; and when the Last Hour will come to pass, a command shall be given: “Admit the Pharaonites to an even more severe chastisement.” 46 As they will noisily argue in the Fire, the weaker ones will say to the arrogant: "We were your followers, so will you take over some of our share of the fire?" 47 Those who had waxed proud will reply: “All of us are in it. Allah has already passed His judgement among His servants.” 48 And they who are in the fire will say to the keepers of hell, "Pray unto your Sustainer that He lighten, [though it be] for one day [only,] this suffering of ours!" 49 They will say: "Did there not come to you your messengers with Clear Signs?" They will say, "Yes". They will reply, "Then pray (as ye like)! But the prayer of those without Faith is nothing but (futile wandering) in (mazes of) error!" 50
