Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
