Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
