۞ And Allah said (O mankind!): "Take not ilahain (two gods in worship, etc.). Verily, He (Allah) is (the) only One Ilah (God). Then, fear Me (Allah) much [and Me (Alone), i.e. be away from all kinds of sins and evil deeds that Allah has forbidden and do all that Allah has ordained and worship none but Allah]. 51 Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him, and His the judgement for ever. So will you fear any other than God? 52 And whatever of blessings and good things you have, it is from Allah. Then, when harm touches you, unto Him you cry aloud for help. 53 Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- 54 that they may show unthankfulness for that We have given them. So take your joy; certainly you will soon know! 55 They set aside a share of that which We have provided them for what they did not know. By Allah, you shall be questioned about your forgeries! 56 And [thus, too,] they ascribe daughters unto God, who is limitless in His glory - whereas for themselves [they would choose, if they could, only] what they desire: 57 When any of them is told about the birth of a female his face turns dark, and he is filled with suppressed anger, 58 With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on? 59 For those who do not believe in the Hereafter is the description of evil; and for Allah is the highest attribute. And He is Exalted in Might, the Wise. 60
