The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
