The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
