3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
