And heaven – We made it with Our Own Power and We have the Power to do so. 47 We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide! 48 And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful. 49 Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Thus there did not come to those before them an apostle but they said: A magician or a mad man. 52 Have they bequeathed it unto each other! Nay! they are a people contumacious. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. 55 I have not created the jinns and men but to worship Me. 56 I do not desire provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 Then, woe to those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Oneness Islamic Monotheism) from (that) their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment). 60
