Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
