Noah's folk denied the messengers (of Allah), 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
