This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
