3/4 Hizb 45

And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
