And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 Gardens Everlasting, whereof the portals remain opened for them. 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ With companions of modest look, the same in age, by their side. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, 55 Gehenna, wherein they are roasted - an evil cradling! 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 Did we laugh at them (for nothing), or our eyes fail to pick them out?" 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
