Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
