The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 by the day when it appears radiant, 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 And rejects the best, 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 and from which the most godfearing shall be removed, 17 who spend for the cause of God and purify themselves. 18 not as payment for favours received, 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
