And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
