Corruption doth appear on land and sea because of (the evil) which men's hands have done, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return. 41 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Travel in the land, and see what sort of fate befell the former people; and most of them were polytheists.” 42 Set, then, thy face steadfastly towards the one ever-true faith, ere there come from God a Day [of reckoning - the Day] which cannot be averted. On that Day all will be sundered: 43 Those who reject Faith will suffer from that rejection: and those who work righteousness will spread their couch (of repose) for themselves (in heaven): 44 In order to reward those who believed and did good deeds, by His munificence; indeed He does not like the disbelievers. 45 And among His signs is that He sends winds heralding glad tidings, to make you taste His mercy, and so that the ships may sail by His command, and so that you may seek His munificence, and for you to give thanks. 46 And indeed We did send Messengers before you (O Muhammad SAW) to their own peoples. They came to them with clear proofs, then, We took vengeance on those who committed crimes (disbelief, setting partners in worship with Allah, sins, etc.), and (as for) the believers it was incumbent upon Us to help (them). 47 Allah is he Who sends forth the winds so they raise a cloud, then He spreads it forth in the sky as He pleases, and He breaks it up so that you see the rain coming forth from inside it; then when He causes it to fall upon whom He pleases of His servants, lo! they are joyful 48 at the rainfall, though before that they had been in despair. 49 Look at the traces of the mercy of God, how He has revived the dead earth. God revives the dead; He has power over all things. 50 Yet if We send a wind and they see their harvest turn yellow, they will then begin to deny [Our favours]. 51 You cannot make the dead hear you, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they retreat, turning about. 52 You cannot guide the blind out of their error. Nor shall you make any to hear except those who believe in Our verses, and are submissive. 53
