SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say: "That (this Quran) is a great news, 67 from which you are turning away. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." 76 He said, “Therefore exit from heaven, for you have been outcast.” (To disrespect the Prophets – peace and blessings be upon them – is blasphemy.) 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
