Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
