And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allah] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great flood. 76 And We succoured him against the people who belied Our signs; verily they were a people evil, so we drowned them all. 77 And David and Solomon -- when they gave judgment concerning the tillage, when the sheep of the people strayed there, and We bore witness to their judgment; 78 And We gave understanding of the case to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgement and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that]. 79 And We taught him the fashioning of garments for you, to fortify you against your violence; then are you thankful? 80 And (We made subservient) to Sulaiman the wind blowing violent, pursuing its course by his command to the land which We had blessed, and We are knower of all things. 81 We also subjected to him some of the jinn who dived for him in the sea and performed other tasks; We kept a watch over them. 82 ۞ And Ayyub! recall what time he cried unto his Lord: verily hurt hath touched me, and Thou art the Most Merciful of the mercifuls. 83 "We answered his prayer, relieved him from his hardships, brought his family (back to him) and gave him twice as much property as that (which was destroyed). It was a mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers. 84 And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient. 85 And We brought them in unto Our mercy. Lo! they are among the righteous. 86 AND [remember] him of the great fish when he went off in wrath, thinking that We had no power over him! But then heeded out in the deep darkness [of his distress]: "There is no deity save Thee! Limitless art Thou in Thy glory! Verily, I have done wrong!" 87 We therefore heard his prayer and rescued him from grief; and similarly We shall rescue the Muslims. 88 And Zakariya, when he cried to his Lord: O my Lord leave me not alone; and Thou art the best of inheritors. 89 So We responded to him and gave him Yahya and made his wife fit for him; surely they used to hasten, one with another In deeds of goodness and to call upon Us, hoping and fearing and they were humble before Us. 90 Remember the one who guarded her chastity; so We breathed Our Spirit into her, and made her and her son a sign for all people. 91 People, you are one nation and I am your Lord. Worship Me. 92 But they tore asunder their faith into many parts. But to Us they are bound to return. 93
