Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
