He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 For him who does not care, 5 you attended to him, 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 But he who comes to you running, 8 and who has fear of God, 9 From him thou art distracted. 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 May (the disbelieving) human being be condemned! What makes him disbelieve? 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 So let man just consider his food: 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 olives, dates, 29 And thick gardens, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
