The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
