Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book (the Quran). 2 for a guidance and a mercy to the good-doers 3 Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. 5 And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. 6 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! 7 But for those who believe and do good works are Gardens of Bliss, 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He [it is who] has created the skies without any supports that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We send down water from the skies, and thus We cause every noble kind [of life] to grow on earth. 10 Allah has created this – therefore show me what has been created by those other than Him; in fact the unjust are in open error. 11
