We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. 49 (Muhammad), tell them,"Seek refuge in God. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 [But] thus it is: never yet came any apostle to those who lived before their time but they said, "A spellbinder, ["sorcerer" is he,] or a madman!" 52 Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! 53 Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; 54 But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. 57 Surely God is the All-provider, the Possessor of Strength, the Ever-Sure. 58 Those who do wrong will indeed come to the same end as their fellows (of old). So let them not ask Me to hasten (the punishment). 59 Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them. 60
