Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
