He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 And he fears, 9 From him thou art distracted. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 exalted and purified, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
